STEAK WITH PASTA:
INGREDIENTS: (serves 4)
4 large mushrooms
80 g butter
Salt and pepper, to taaste
15 ml olive oil
125 g turkey bacon, finely chopped
8 spring onions, finely chopped
100 g feta cheese, crumbled
500 g homemade or readymade tomato sauce
200 g tagliatelle pasta, cooked al dente according to
packet instructions
METHOD:
- Grease a baking sheet and arrange mushrooms on it. Put a knob of butter on each mushroom. Season mushrooms with salt and pepper and bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 10-15 minutes or until done.
- Heat olive oil and fry turkey bacon and spring onions until done. Leave the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in feta cheese. Spoon the mixture on top of the mushrooms, dividing it evenly.
- Meanwhile heat tomato sauce and season, if needed. Return the mushrooms with feta topping to the oven for 5 minutes. Spoon pasta on plates and top with mushrooms. Spoon tomato sauce on top and serve.
