NASI LEMAK

NASI  LEMAK:
INGREDIENTS:

500 g  rice
250  g thick coconut cream
2  aromatic pandan leaves
1  onion, thinly sliced
1  tsp  salt
Water, enough to cover the rice

METHOD:
  • Wash rice till the water runs clear.  Add coconut cream, onion and salt and enough  water that it is 3.5 cm above the rice level.
  • Drag a fork through the pandan leaves to shred them . Tie them together and place on top of the rice.
  • Cook uncovered on high heat for 8-10 minutes or until the water begins to boil. Cover and let it for eight minutes or until water is absorbed. Keep it covered tightly for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes:   Serve with boiled eggs.
